Grassfed Beef and Lamb Local Availability

Many of you have asked me where we purchase our grassfed beef and lamb. The folks that run their farm will be in Salt Lake this weekend. Read below!

LAU FAMILY FARM, LLC

Grass-Fed * No Antibiotics * No Hormone Implants

On May 22nd we’ll make two stops in Utah. First we will be in SLC at Tony Caputo’s (300 W, 300 S, across from Pioneer Park). We’ll be there from noon to 2 pm. Our second stop will be in S. Ogden at Cochran Produce (6060 S 1550 E) from 4 to 5 pm.

· While we encourage pre-requesting/ordering we want to remind our customers that we are always willing to adjust an order up until the time it leaves our possession. We don’t want our customers to feel that they must buy something just because they included it in their pre-request.

· Dog and Marrow Bones, Beef Liver, Heart, and other organs are all available now. Let us know if you would be interested in purchasing some for yourself or your animal friends. We have a large supply of dog bones-ask about volume discounts!

· If you are ever unhappy with your purchase, and/or our service, please let us know so we can have the opportunity to make it right. We stand behind our product 100%, and want our customers to be happy. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to provide a better product or service.

We have decided to stop offering quarters and half beef orders in an effort to make more of the animals we harvest available to those who order smaller volumes. We expect to be able to resume offering these larger orders again in the fall/early winter. Once we have animals available to fill these orders, we will fill the requests in the order in which the deposits were received. We are willing to take deposits, for deliveries later this year, at any time. There are just a few 09 lambs left to harvest. If you want a whole or half lamb speak up now.

We are around 2/3rds of the way done with lambing now-65 or so ewes have lambed in 17 days. We’ve had quite good percentages of twins and have kept nearly all alive. The weather has not been as kind to us as normal for this late in May. We’ve checked for lambs every 3 hours for the last 3 weeks while normally it is just a few nights here and there that are wet or cold enough to require checking. We are both very tired of not getting a full night’s sleep.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with you throughout 2010. Please don’t hesitate to let us know how we can improve our products or services.

Thank you for your continued business!
